Following a visit from the Food Standards Agency the fast growing Oasis Community Cafe, St Clements Church, Green Lane, Castle Bromwich has been given a top hygiene rating of 5 which reflects the hard work and dedication of the volunteers.
Apart from a friendly welcome and excellent hot and cold food the Friday cafe offers a table top sale, music and a toddler toy area. The Monday morning cafe is a quiet coffee lounge, ideal for a chat with cake and a cup of tea.
The cafe is fast growing in popularity with people from both the local area and from further afield.
A really exciting new venture which caters for anyone caring for children or planning a family is “Me Time”
“Me Time” is a free group which meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month from 10:30 to 12 and provides an opportunity to relax and meet new people over a cup of tea or coffee and cake. There is also a children’s play area, book library and children’s clothes rail.
On Friday 08 December there will be a fund raising day for the planned cafe annexe which will include a tombola with lots of great prizes to be won so is not to be missed!
More details about the cafe, including opening times and Me Time, can be found on the St Clements Church Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/Stclementscastlebrom/or the website or notices displayed in church.
