High Meadow Infant School Children celebrate Father’s Day

This week all of the children at High Meadow celebrated Father’s Day by inviting their dads/grandads into school for a Lego Workshop! Dads were first fed with a sausage sandwich and a cup of tea and then set to work with their children to create a model of something ‘from another world’

The children loved having their dads/grandads in school and enjoyed the valuable one-to-one time that they spent with their male role models. At the end of the workshop the children all cheered and thanked their dads for being the ‘best dads in the whole wide world!’

As part of their Forest School learning children also had the opportunity to create a wooden key ring for their dads for Father’s Day, using wood found in our school woodland. They used a range of hand tools to create a beautiful memento that we know all of their dads will love and treasure!
